Madame Liera is a mysterious woman who was in contact with Touka Bergatt, and was possibly employed by him. She seems to be connected to the perfume that is actually a drug to lower one's inhibitions that has been in use at masked balls in the north and is a possible spy for the Bergatt and Tohz families. Eisetsu Rugilia is the young lord of Wirant whose lands include Oriold. He is fond of eye catching and refined things and holds a night banquet which Shirayuki, Obi and Ryuu attend on a last minute invite from Eisetsu's retainer Shuu Gratley in order to seek his approval to plant Phostyrias on the roads passing through his estate. Mikage is the current Lord of the Rid (or Lido) lands, who was promoted to the position as result of a gambit played by Izana which saw the previous lord stripped of his titles and imprisoned.

She then eventually tells him the person who wants to marry her is the prince of that country, with Zen remarking him as an idiot. Before she goes to eat one, Zen grabs her hand and takes a bite off of it. He comments that Shirayuki was not the one to eat the apple, and she would come with him as he knew someone with the antidote. Snow White gives me something new, and it gives it to me with affection and grace and without compromise, always staying true to itself.

It’s a soothing story and a beautiful series, and I’m so grateful BONES and Ando believed in it enough to give us these 24 lovely episodes. Yet for all its little stumbles, I will passionately defend the second act’s right to exist, because it serves as catalyst and groundwork for a fantastic third act and satisfying finale, allowing relationships and opinions to change in small but significant ways. Best of all, our central five-person cast goes from being acquaintances to true friends, creating a new closeness that leads to well-earned character development and some terrific silliness. If there’s one place where the second half of Snow White improved upon the first, it’s the comedy, and so much of that comes organically out of the characters, as they grow closer and let themselves relax around each other.

He then says that he is counting on her and blames half of his injury on her. Kihal Toghrul is a minor female character with black hair and green eyes. She is a villager who soon became part of the bird messengers for Clarines.
This is a general overview of the characters within the tale of Akagami no Shirayukihime containing links to individual character pages for those characters which possess them. In general there are far more male characters, (named, unnamed and even filling in the background) than females with male characters prominent enough to be given a name and/or title numbering at 60 while there are only 18 such women in the tale. Families consist mostly of men with mothers, wives, grandmothers and aunts not clearly depicted, mentioned or named except in the case of Haruto Wistaria. While there are at least seven acknowledged sets of siblings no family has more than one daughter, while several have multiple sons. Elderly women in particular don't seem to exist in this world while there are elderly men to spare, and strangely whatever medical cause might be at the root of this is not addressed despite the main character being a woman who acts as a doctor. Despite this disparity in numbers women in Clarines enjoy more freedom than most women in the time period the work draws most heavily from as they often hold prominent positions, become scholars and inherit lands and titles in their own right.
He is the older twin brother of Tariga Bergatt and younger brother of Touka Bergatt; all sons of Lord Bergatt. Amakize Lugis is the first son of Count Lugis and the current head of House Lugis. Haruto Wistaria is the former Queen Dowager and currently the Queen Mother of Clarines. She is the mother of her firstborn child King Izana and second child Prince Zen. She is also the widow of the late Kain Wistaria and was his Queen consort during his reign. A young noble who tired to run away from home, but stole the boat and ripped off the first set of "guards" he hired along his way, causing them to reveal what he was doing and hire Torou to track him down and bring him home so that they could get paid.

He has been Prince Raji's first aide since the prince was just five years old, and sometimes acts fatherly towards Raji. Sakaki respects both Shirayuki and Zen, but still tries to convince Shirayuki to come back to Tanbarun. Atri was a minor male character, turned into an antagonist. He was Zen's childhood friend before turning his back on him after his family plotted revenge for the Clarines kingdom. He was killed by Mitsuhide after he tried to assassinate Zen.
So it stands to reason that ShiraZen would move forward at their own steady pace, too, walking their own paths even as they work to make sure those paths stay next to each other. It is also, as Raj puts it, a “shield,” granting her the freedom to travel to and from her home country at will and the political power to stand as an equal in the eyes of society and the law. Izana’s laughter is as much relief as amusement, I think, because an official title will make it significantly easier for the Clarines princes to defend the validity of Shirayuki and Zen’s relationship.
However, her hair gets her noticed by Prince Raj, who orders her to become his concubine. Refusing his orders, she cuts her hair and escapes to the neighboring kingdom of Clarines. Once she is returned to the country and taken to Prince Raji, she is brought to his room. He is amazed by Shirayuki's hair and tells her to come to him.
It’s the “once upon a time” our generation could use more of. King Shenazard is a minor male character with brown hair and gray eyes. He is the king of Tanbarun and father of Raji, Eugena, and Rona Shenazard. He allows Zen and his group authority to act in Tanbaurn to rescue Shirayuki, with the help of Raji and his men. As the royals of Tanbarun are known to collect concubines it is unknown if his children all have the same mother or if he is married.

In case it wasn’t obvious, I adore Snow White with the Red Hair. As I’ve said before, its sleepy pace and relaxing tone won’t work for everyone, and its idealized characters mean that high drama and extended conflict tend to be avoided in favor of quiet conversations and low-key resolutions. And there’s nothing wrong with preferring those kinds of stories.
Mihaya is a minor male antagonist turned minor character with brown hair and black eyes. He kidnapped Shirayuki in an attempt to sell her off to become a noble again. His plans were foiled when Shirayuki tried to escape and then Zen saved her, arresting Mihaya.
Shirayuki not only passed his Tanbarun test with flying colors–she earned extra credit. I’ve been jaded by past fiction, so I braced myself when Sakaki showed up with that necklace, worried it would be a marriage proposal to inject some last-minute forced love triangle drama. Thankfully this is Snow White we’re talking about, and the series instead makes it clear that (despite Sakaki’s hopes) Raj values their friendship–his first! He and Shirayuki basically become pen pals (adorbs), and the sight of them both curled up in bed reading, miles apart but connected by words both past and present, is a lovely bit of visual work to establish closeness even in distance.
